Randall Willis
Randall Willis is an extraordinary musician with a unique style that captures the integrity and sultriness of traditional jazz, while projecting the energy and creativeness of contemporary sounds.  His diverse talents allow him to not only play the music he is passionate about, but to also compose, write and teach the art.

Randall developed his distinctive, fiery style by listening to players like Wayne Shorter, Sonny Rollins and Jackie McLean. He has toured the United States and Europe and performed with artists as diverse as The Pharcyde, Freestyle Fellowship, Dred Scott, Big Chief, The Poetess, The Lox, The Watts Prophets, Ray Charles, Elvin Jones, Ernie Watts, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Willie Nelson, Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Harold Land, Oscar Brashear, Kenny Burrell, Hubert Laws, and Billy Higgins.

He has recorded for jazz greats Jimmy Cleveland, and 1996 Grammy nominee Gerald Wilson.  Randall has recently recorded live with Kenny Burrell and Gerald Wilson for Blue Note Records. The motion picture "Always Say Goodbye", winner of the 1997 Hollywood Film Festival, his first film score, was favorably reviewed in the New York Times.  Randall also played on and co-wrote the tune "Inner City Boundaries" on the "Rebirth of Cool" compilation for 4th & B'way that also appears on the soundtrack for the movie "Strapped" directed by Forest Whittaker.
